DVB-I explainer for business and policy leaders

In March 2026, following a need identified by the DVB-I Implementers Task Force, the DVB Project Office published a new white paper providing a non-technical introduction to DVB-I for business leaders, policymakers and media industry advisors.

The document sets out what DVB-I is – a delivery-agnostic, open standard for describing and discovering television services – and what it is not: not a user interface, not a platform, not a regulatory architecture. It explains the core capabilities of DVB-I, describes the distinct benefits it offers to each major stakeholder group, and reviews early real-world deployments in Europe that demonstrate how the standard is being applied today.
